About
The Traok Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to creating and funding initiatives that help people live with more kindness, curiosity, and appreciation for life.
While we are based in Johannesburg, South Africa, our reach is global, as are our project initiatives. We are regulated as a Non-Profit Company and registered with the CIPC in South Africa (NPC number: K2025282792)
We believe that mental well-being, compassion, and gratitude are as essential as food and shelter. Our projects are designed to:
- Inspire people to perform acts of kindness — big, or small — and experiencing the joy in doing so
- Promote mental and emotional resilience through the provision of coaching tools, techniques and guided programmes
- Encourage curiosity and exploration of the world around us
- Create moments of joy and connection in communities
Our Vision:
A world where kindness is the norm, not the exception.
Our Approach:
We combine practical projects, community engagement, and creative storytelling to show that kindness has a ripple effect. Every small act matters — and together, they can transform lives.
Once the Foundation is well-established and funded, we will have a formal application process for funding clearly defined projects that align with our vision.
For now, all donations are directed towards our existing kindness initiatives which include producing free-to-public online courses, guided meditations, engaging animated content around wellness, gratitude, and resilience. These projects are all coordinated by our leadership team, and run with the help of volunteers.
